Dante's been in better shape; his clothes are shredded and soaked in blood, and his steps are heavy as he crosses the ruins. Not only is he beaten, he's furious -- Kadaj is still alive. Dante's ready to blow this joint. First chance he gets, he's finding Lady and heading back to earth.

"I'm here to see Rufus ShinRa 'bout a paycheck I never got," Dante answers. "Help me see him, and you'll be helping me out."

"I'm sorry, sir, Mr. ShinRa isn't available right now, he's very busy--"

"Aw, that's alright," Dante drawls, leaning on her desk and grinning. "I got all the time in the world to wait for him. How 'bout you, honey? Are you available?"

First of all, I barely remember jack about what's been going on the last few days. All I know is that something's been going on, what with the fact that I'm now stuck with Colette the Goddamn toddler and some kid I've never even met all hellbent on protecting her. I kinda wish they'd take off but no chance of that until one of us has got a clue as to what's been going on.

My shirt and my jacket are screwed up -- as in, screwed up like someone took a blade to them. The fucking hell? Even when I'm drunk I usually remember the fights I've been in.
